Welcome to Bothy Qigong

This is a simple, grounded place to learn Qigong in a way that feels accessible, supportive and easy to bring into everyday life.

Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines gentle movement, breath and awareness. It can help you slow down, release tension, improve balance and reconnect with a steadier rhythm in body and mind.

Whether you are completely new to Qigong or returning to it after time away, this course offers a calm and welcoming place to begin.

What is Qigong?

Qigong is a practice of movement, breath and attention that has been used for centuries to support health, vitality and inner balance.

The movements are gentle, flowing and easy to follow. They are not about pushing or striving. They are about softening, breathing, and allowing the body to move in a more natural and connected way.

Practised regularly, Qigong can help support:

  • calm and relaxation
  • balance and coordination
  • flexibility and mobility
  • energy and focus
  • a greater sense of presence in everyday life

Why practise Qigong?

Many of us spend our days feeling rushed, overstimulated or disconnected from our bodies.

Qigong offers a different pace.

It gives you space to slow down, breathe more deeply, and return to simple movement that helps settle the nervous system and restore a sense of ease.

It does not require peak fitness, complicated routines or lots of equipment. It simply asks you to show up, move gently, and give yourself a little time.
